Comparing RadioActiveTrading VS. Jeff Ziegler Credit Spreads Course

Comparing Costs:

I recently got an email from a fella that came to our free weekly webinar and had the following question:

what’s the difference between your course and jeff ziegler’s course? i know radioactivetrading always set up married puts initially before making any adjustments, but other than that, what are the diffferences i should know about before deciding which course to buy? are you more successful as a trader than zeigler?

Now, I often get questions like this but I thought I’d like to let you look over my shoulder with this one. Here’s why: There are three reasons that I get asked these “comparison” questions:

1) Some courses are knock-offs of mine… WITHOUT the constant evolution and addition of ideas as we tweak the system

2) Some folks are confused about value… “What’s so much better about your $289 course when this other outfit charges $6,000?”

3) But sometimes… rarely… I get an “apples and oranges” question

In the first case, I trot out the copyrights on my book dating back to 2002… receipts and attendance records of the names of the copycats that afterward came to my seminars or got my materials… with the dates on them…

In the second case I simply plead guilty.. I think folks should invest in my materials, yes, so $289 is fair. But I want them to keep the six grand for trading…

IN the third case I send a thoughtful reply. This fella asked which would be better for him: the Jeff Ziegler Credit Spreads course, or The Blueprint from RadioActive Trading.

Well, that’s a tough nut because they aren’t even close to the same product. Check out my reply:

Thanks for the question. I think Mike already handled the question quite admirably, but I’ll add my two cents as well.

Jeff Ziegler is a real stand up guy and I’m impressed with him as a person. We actually attended the same high school and found each other when Jeff bought my book a few years back.

I don’t think that the question, “which is the better course” really applies here as much as “which is the better course for HARRISON”.

Make sense?

If you are new to stock trading (or options trading) in general, OR have not yet had a long track record of successful trading, I would say that The Blueprint is for you. My book is built on the platform that others miss: the all-important topic of proper position sizing. After taking care of keeping trade sizes optimized, then we show nine different ways to adjust your initial position for greater profit, lower risk, or both.

If, on the other hand you have read and are familiar with books by Dr. Van Tharp and Jack Schwager, have tried and tested your own trading systems in a number of up, down, sideways, stagnant AND trending markets… then Jeff’s course may add some new tools to your arsenal.

Of course, being a seasoned trader like that, if you are making money then you must already be intimately familiar with position sizing and money management. These are ingredients that I believe Jeff’s course may lack. These ingredients are commonly known as the KEY ingredient ot any trading system‘s long term success.

(BTW… if you’re scratching your head about what position sizing and money management means, you NEED The Blueprint)

I don’t know if Jeff publishes his trading journal… you know, wins AND losses. He may well be a better trader. I honestly don’t know. I’d say ask to see it. Again, however, the question is not one of comparing Jeff’s and my results, but rather what can YOU do with our respective ideas? If I have a better trading record but Jeff’s philosophy fits your temperament and risk/reward tolerance better… and you only have the time and energy to put into one course… get his.

If, on the other hand capital preservation is in any way important to you, get mine. That’s the key and central concept that we BEGIN with… and we still do all the same kinds of adjustments and spread trades.

I’ll leave you with a testimonial from one of my clients, written in March 2008. This was before the big crash late in the year:

“You put your trades out for public display and then take all the criticism from second guessers, me included. You opened my eyes to the use of puts and I am really thankful for that. I can honestly say that I have already made back ten times the cost of your blueprint because I trade a sizable portfolio. I sleep a lot better at night and am not worried about a severe downturn.” -Mark T., March 2008

I hope that you find the methodology that fits you best. Happy Trading.
